We’ve been named one of the Best Employers for Diversity!
National Grid has been recognized as one of ‘America’s Best Employers for Diversity’ by Forbes [see the article]. We’re one of 500 companies, with at least 1,000 US employees, to receive this distinction – based on employee surveys around their companies’ commitment to age, gender equality, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+ and general diversity topics [see the list of companies].
“This is a major achievement that recognizes our collective efforts in creating a culture where everyone feels they can bring their best selves to work every day,” says Keith Hutchison, SVP US HR and Chief Diversity Officer. “While this is a prestigious honor, we also recognize that inclusion and diversity is a focus that will always be one of our top priorities at National Grid, as there is always room for improvement.”
This latest distinction is in addition to other awards we’ve received for our commitment to diversity and Doing the Right Thing, including Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality and a World’s Most Ethical Company distinction for eight years. It’s also in keeping with our dedication to giving all employees a voice – and spreading significant Inclusion & Diversity messages inside the company and out in our communities – through our broad range of Employee Resource Groups, open to all employees.
Thanks to everyone who helps us make National Grid a company where people want to come to work, and feel respected and accepted for who they are and what they bring us.
