We’re happy to participate in the first ever Natural Gas Utility Workers’ Day on March 18th, established by  the American Public Gas Association. On that day and throughout the week, we’ll recognize and show appreciation for our Gas Operations and Customer Meter Services employees who are committed to providing safe, reliable service to our customers every day.

Our gas workers will be treated to an appreciation breakfast on Natural Gas Utility Workers’ Day and we’ll be involved in other promotional efforts to let the community know how proud we are of the professional gas workers that we employ.

On Friday – we encourage you to send a tweet showing your appreciation with the hashtag #NaturalGasUtilityWorkersDay.

We also encourage you to take some time to read about and watch some of the recent natural gas stories that we’ve posted this year – like our Connect21 video on what we’re doing in downstate New York to reduce our carbon footprint through projects like Brooklyn Queens Interconnector, CISBOT technology and the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Ever wondered how a CMS tech detects a gas leak? Watch a short clip here where one of our own explains.
