On Tuesday, April 2, 2019, the Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG) hosted representatives from the 106 RQW FRG PO Inc. and two members of the 106th Rescue Wing of Westhampton Beach, NY for a check presentation ceremony and collaboration luncheon at the Melville office.  VERG donated $3,000 to show their support of and solidarity with the 106th Rescue Wing.  These funds were raised from the Annual Hicksville Veterans Week Bake Sale.  A huge, “Thank you!” to Mike Addiego, the planning committee, and the team of volunteers who shared their time and talents to make this donation possible.

The 106th Rescue Wing deploys worldwide to provide combat search and rescue coverage for U.S. and allied forces.  The 106 RQW FRG PO Inc. engages in several military-family-oriented activities year-round, including Truck or Treat, Day Camp Programs, Troops Appreciation Breakfast, and Operation Homefront School Supply Drives.

Going forward, VERG will be collaborating with their team to volunteer at a variety of events, such as professional development workshops and the Annual Family Day Festival in early September.  Both teams are excited about this prosperous partnership.

“Donations from esteemed organizations like yours help us in continuing our mission of providing quality Family Readiness program support for military members and their families of the 106th Rescue Wing” says Deborah Kruk, 106 RQW FRG PO Inc., President. Every donation is vital in supporting our Airmen and is greatly appreciated.”
