Thanks for Giving again!

By Avraham Kalban

“Thank you for your participation in this year’s Thanks for Giving Campaign!  Without you, this annual campaign would not be possible!”
Marilyn Reid

“I’m very happy and thankful to be part of this group! Every little bit counts”
Shirley Avila

This year’s Thanks for Giving campaign stretched all over National Grid’s US service area, supporting communities from Buffalo to Boston to Brentwood and all across Long Island and Rhode Island. This is the campaign where employees sell and buy paper turkeys that turn into real turkey meals – and fixin’s – for families in need. This year, we raised a total of $8,515 (including company matches where reported).  Using the conversion rate we’ve been given by Island Harvest here on Long Island, that equates to 4,258 meals!

This was the 12th year of our campaign, coordinated, as always, through the Hands Together New York* volunteer group. In total, we’ve raised a total of $91,851 – or 45,913 meals.
