Safety rules at local school
Kids get schooled on natural gas safety – with our Leading with Safety program
“Thanks all for your commitment to safety and to our children …”
Our VP, Community and Customer Management (C&CM) Melanie Littlejohn was talking to this year’s employee volunteers, who once again brought natural gas safety messages to students at Brooklyn’s PS 204.
“This is the third time we’ve had the opportunity, and privilege, to bring our Leading with Safety [LWS] program to students at this school,” says Carol Decina, manager, C&CM. “About 200 4th grade students were engaged and anxious to learn about natural gas safety. A special thanks to our field volunteers, as their interactive demonstrations of PPE [Personal Protective Equipment] and work tools were particularly interesting to the students.”
NY Jurisdiction President Ken Daly summed it up like this: “Great job by Team Grid! Thanks for making National Grid a safe place to work and our communities a safe place to live.”
