Rome and Holtsville receive environmental kudos!
The next time you’re at the Rome Service Center or the Holtsville Gas Turbine facility both in New York, give a shout out to the team for receiving National Grid’s first ever Environmental Excellence Award. For the first quarter of FY 18 these two facilities demonstrated continued compliance with all environmental regulations and National Grid procedures.
“Receiving this award is a direct result of the teamwork and the attention to detail displayed by employees that work out of the Rome Service Center. We take pride in being safe and environmentally sound.” – Josh Conway, Environmental Compliance Facilitator, Rome Service Center
Continuing to meet strict federal, state and local environmental regulations as well as National Grid’s policy and procedures is no small task. Team’s that regularly accomplish this never let their guard down when it comes to safety and the environment.
“Environmental is one of our key priorities and it takes dedication and teamwork to get it done.” – John Brady, Regulatory Manager, Gas Turbine Division
Environmental compliance is nothing new at National Grid but this type of formal recognition is. And while the National Grid Environmental Excellence Award is fast becoming a coveted honor, the first award recipients tell us it’s no substitute for knowing you’re doing the right thing when it comes to protecting the environment for our employees and the communities we serve.
“The entire workforce is aware of the importance of maintaining the facility and adhering to environmental requirements.” – Ian Cederna, Sr. Operations Supervisor, Holtsville Gas Turbine
Congratulations to the employees of the Rome Service Center and Holtsville Gas Turbine facility for doing the right thing when it comes to protecting our environment. Keep up the good work!
