Our Ethics Liaison Network – 10 years old and nearly 100 members strong!
“It’s one of the most successful groups and initiatives I’ve been part of in my 25 years with the company,” says US Director of Ethics & Compliance Bill Holzhauer. “And our thriving Ethics Liaison Network – representing most areas of the business – is definitely one of the key reasons we are recognized as an ethical leader in the industry.”
ELN Executive Sponsor Keith Hutchison (SVP US HR and Chief Diversity Officer) adds, “The role of our Ethics Liaison Network is to help the organization to uphold the very highest ethical standards as both our role models and our conscience. As a network, they are a big part of our commitment to never compromise on our values and to embed ethics into everything we do, every day.”
Ethics Liaisons across the business are there for their coworkers – to listen, be a bridge to the Ethics & Compliance Office, make sure colleagues know where they can turn if they have an ethical dilemma or concern. They share significant ethics messages and moments with their teams, too, as they help to continuously enhance our company’s ethical culture. And, they all strive to role model our values of Do the Right Thing and Find a Better Way.
Cordi O’Hara, Chief Operating Officer – Gas Operations says it’s that unwavering commitment to our values that actually attracted her to the company and “makes me want to come to work every day.” She says:
“Doing the right thing isn’t often easy, but our customers and communities trust us and expect us to act with integrity. The ELN is at the heart of this commitment, the values we hold dear at this company and how we behave.”
All our Ethics Liaisons do a fantastic job. But some truly go above and beyond. And each year, employees vote for their Ethics Liaisons of the Year. Congratulations to our 2018 Ethics Liaison of the Year Award winners:
