Next stop: Savings!

By Amie O'Hearn

Massachusetts National Grid customers are in for hot energy efficiency savings, even with cold temperatures settling into the region. Ads touting $100 off Wi-Fi thermostats are currently running on major subway stations and commuter rail lines in the Greater Boston area. The ad campaign is designed to increase familiarity with National Grid’s energy efficiency programs and is expected to be viewed approximately 80 million times and over its four-week run. Train riders can also view the promotion from their mobile smartphones and tablets. According to the Residential Energy Efficiency Marketing Team, the local ads target customers commuting in cold weather by reminding them they can save energy and walk into a warm home by turning on their Wi-Fi thermostat from their phones.

The ads can be seen across the Commonwealth from Andover to South Weymouth. Make sure if you see one, to snap a photo and tweet it to @NationalGridUs. For additional information, visit
