National Volunteer Week roundup

Kicking off National Volunteer Week on April 24, National Grid employees took part in food drives in conjunction with the United Way of Long Island. They also signed up to donate their time at Long Island Cares’ food distribution centers.

Bob DeMarinis joined members of our Melville gas team to launch the food drive and an informational session about programs the United Way of Long Island offers to help those in need in the communities we serve.

Employees volunteered at the Long Island Cares distribution warehouse in Hauppauge, where they delivered and packaged food items for distribution to agencies across Long Island.

Employee volunteers teamed up at the Long Island Cares Humanitarian Center in Huntington, where veterans and people in need can go to help provide for their families.

Members of the Power Plant Operations leadership team volunteered at the Long Island Cares South Shore Service Center in Lindenhurst on Military Appreciation Day.
