Employees raised lots of dough for Island Harvest at last year’s ‘Bread Run’ event

By Wendy Ladd

Bread Run is a non-for-profit founded by our former intern Danielle Rubenfeld. She brought the idea to the company – a capture the flag competition that raises money for the hungry while participants have a whole lot of fun! The idea took off, teams were created and we raised $12,000 in the process, including the company match. All of these proceeds went directly to benefit Island Harvest, Long Island’s largest hunger relief organization.

The games took place on the back lawn in Hicksville where employees wearing bakers’ hats showed their true competitive spirit for a great cause. You can read about it here.
