Specifically, Patty highlighted our Northeast 80×50 Pathway to support regional efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions below 1990 levels, while promoting economic growth and maintaining affordability and customer choice.

Also speaking at the event were Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-8th) and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), who commended National Grid for its leadership and advocacy on our efforts to minimize the impacts of climate change. After the event, Patty also briefed the offices of Representatives Joseph Kennedy III (D-MA-4th) and Katherine Clark (D-MA-5th), Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) and the Democratic staff of the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee on our 80×50 Pathway.
