Congratulations Long Island Gas Ops on a great safety year

By Karen Polise

Each year Long Island Gas Operations holds its safety breakfast to recognize employees who are 10+ years accident-free. It’s no easy accomplishment when you consider the hard work they do each day to deliver safe and reliable natural gas service to our customers. This year, we had more than 200 employees achieve this distinction.   If that’s not remarkable enough, a special recognition was given to Joseph Mittnight for an incredible 54 years of being accident-free and Robert Zabielski for 50 years accident-free.

In attendance was Elbe Baisden of CMS who retired last year with an astonishing 53 years of service and 50+ years accident-free. Elbe was given a standing annual invitation to attend the breakfast from Bob De Marinis.  See Elbe’s story here.
