CMS employee thanked for emergency response

John-Cook-1After experiencing a harrowing 1am gas emergency last month, a Delmar customer expressed her appreciation for Customer Meter Service (CMS) representative John Cook, who responded to the call. The customer related that she woke to a hissing sound after falling ice sheared off the gas regulator at her apartment building. She called 911, and the fire department responded and evacuated the building. The grateful customer said John was “very calm and reassuring” throughout the event, advising her that the heat would be restored that night and that everything would be fine. She noted her surprise that John was able to make repairs, install a new meter and relight all the pilot lights that evening.
