“I think it’s quite an achievement; I credit it to all of us looking out for one another.”

Last month, the Albany Underground East Civil Department reached a safety milestone by recording one year without a Loss Time Injury, OSHA Recordable or Road Traffic Collision.

But according to Mark Tedford, Underground Electric Eastern Division Supervisor, this is no “accident.”

“No matter if they’re installing underground electric infrastructure, handling hazardous waste, or fabricating substations, safety is always a priority for the Underground East Civil Department,” Tedford says.  “The men and women who perform these tasks are highly skilled employees, many of them having over 20 years with the company.  The goal of going home the way they came in is an everyday motto.”

Please help us congratulate the Eastern Division Civil Department for reaching one year without a Loss Time Injury, OSHA Recordable or Road Traffic Collision!
