A meal goes a long way to lift spirits in Suffolk County

By Karen Polise

To show appreciation to our first responders and healthcare professionals in Suffolk County, our Customer & Community Management team were busy delivering meals to frontline workers who are battling with the COVID-19 pandemic in their communities.

“The first responders and healthcare professionals are doing an incredibly hard job.” said Bel Pagdanganan, Government Relations Manager. “It’s beyond anything they have ever seen, and these meal donations are a way for us to thank them for their dedication and commitment to helping those in our hardest hit communities on Long Island.”

Keith Rooney, Director of Customer & Community, agreed saying, “the meal deliveries are our way of acknowledging the amazing work of these heroes on the front line. The community is relying on them and they have been there to respond. Our gratitude goes out to them.” Keith added “I also want to say a big thank you to Bel and Kathy Wisnewski, Manager and Lauren Perry, Lead Program Manager of the Customer & Community team for driving this initiative.”

Brentwood Legion Ambulance (BLA) crews (photo below) have responded to approximately 60 calls a day which is three times more than their daily calls on a typical day.  Neighboring emergency medical service volunteer technicians and paramedics have stepped in to assist BLA.

Have a look at the photos below of front line heroes and our Customer & Community Management team members.
