$506,497 energy efficiency rebate goes to the Ardagh Group
National Grid presented the Ardagh Group, Glass – North America with a $506,497 energy efficiency rebate for completion of a LED lighting retrofit project at its Milford, MA facility. Ardagh Group is one of our largest electric customers in Massachusetts and qualified for a project incentive through our large commercial/industrial energy efficiency programs. The lighting retrofit was completed at the end of 2015 by Westborough, MA-based vendor Synergy. As a result of the improvements, Ardagh Group is expected to save 1.36 million kilowatt-hours of energy per year. Ardagh Group employs approximately 230 employees at its Milford facility and manufactures 2.4 million glass bottles each day for the beer market. The lighting retrofit is one of several measures the manufacturing facility has taken to improve its energy efficiency.
