2016 Chairman’s Awards final countdown
The trophies have arrived and the certificates are signed, ready for our finalists attending the 2016 Chairman’s Awards next Tuesday, 28 June.
Each year the Chairman’s Awards recognise the outstanding contribution of employees who, every day, are making a difference to the lives of customers, communities and their colleagues. This year has been another exceptional year, with 156 submissions; just trumping our total in 2015.
At next week’s ceremony we will be celebrating the exceptional efforts of employees from both UK and US based teams and from all parts of the organisation.
Here are a few of our favourite quotes from our finalists:
“The Chairman’s Awards has really given us the opportunity to take a step back and reflect on all that has been accomplished with the Neighbourhood Expansion programme and for the team. It has been very rewarding to be recognised for its hard work.” Bringing natural gas to unserved and underserved neighbourhoods, US
“It has taken enormous courage for me to relive the memories of my past to support the mental wellbeing campaign. To have reached the Chairman’s awards finals means that one voice truly can make a difference in raising awareness about mental health. Sam Coton, UK
“I’m looking forward to hearing about the range of projects and initiatives that employees have been involved with and that have made a real difference to our organisation, and taking the time to celebrate that.” Reverse mentoring in Capital Delivery, UK
“Our main goal was to create both a safety communications strategy and a process that would be used well into the future – we used performance excellence tools and methodologies to help us.”SHE communications strategy and process, US
